Before the workshop, send us a few of your favorite photos—whether they’re quick cell phone snaps or DSLR shots. I’ll convert them into digital negatives, so they’re ready for your creative touch when you arrive.

This alternative process combines vintage charm using the elegance of silver. You’ll learn to:
🎨 Hand-coat paper with chemistry.
☀️ Expose your images to UV light for stunning results.
🖤 Develop your artwork using a darkroom-style process.

The kallitype process creates one-of-a-kind pieces with rich tones and a beautifully vintage type finish. It’s a perfect way to merge photography and fine art in a truly unique way!

Why have a DSLR if you don’t know how to use it? Join us for the easiest (and most fun!) way to master your camera.

What makes this workshop truly special? You’ll step INSIDE the camera! Using our camera obscura that we create, you’ll get a hands-on, visual understanding of tricky concepts like aperture and depth of field. No more confusion—just clarity and creativity!

You’ll also have plenty of practice shooting in different lighting situations, so you’ll leave with the confidence to apply what you’ve learned at home.

Join us for a relaxed and informative Friday evening workshop where we’ll tackle the trickier parts of running a successful photography business.

With over a decade of experience running my own portrait studio—plus credentials as a Certified Professional Photographer, Photographic Craftsman, and Master Photographer—I’ve learned what works (and what doesn’t) in this industry.

You’ll gain:
✨ Practical tips and strategies to elevate your business.
💡 Ideas you can implement immediately to start seeing results.
🚫 Insight on avoiding the “mini-session rut” that leaves you overworked and underpaid.

FAQ

Do you have to "know" photography for the alternative process experiences?

no. your cell phone is a perfectly good camera for any of these processes. I will have negatives for you to use, but will encourage you to email me photos that YOU have taken so I can print negatives for you from your OWN photography.

Do you have to be an artist?

Yes. But I believe we all all born being artists. So you're covered. 

Where will the experiences be held?

Each experience will be held in Celina at our Hippie Hideaway near downtown.
