GUM BICHROMATE WORKSHOP

SUCH a fun way to create art! This 19th century printing process uses water color and photo-sensitive chemistry. You create your very own art with your very own photography and painting and colors. One of a kind artwork!

You bring: a thumb drive with three or so photographs. (if you are using your phone camera or cannot get a thumb drive, you can email your photos to me!)

We will: Take your photos, and learn how to turn them into digital negatives and then print the negatives of your photos.

Then we will learn how to coat the paper, choose the colors and expose the prints to create an image. Then we wash and dry the prints and learn how to layer the colors to make a full color print.

You can work all day on layering one print, or you can make several. It's a beautiful day of making art, meeting other creative, artistic people and having FUN!

You provide your photos. We provide the chemistry, water colors, water color paper, transparencies to make the negatives, the printer to print the negatives, paint brushes and everything else we need! We will break for lunch, so bring some lunch money!

A beautiful process that creates one of a kind art blending painting and photography!
