So much fun at Flyhippie!

OH. MY. GOSH.

I haven't blogged in a MONTH! It's been so busy in SUCH a great way! We've done cake smashes, boudoir, head shots, family....all the shoots....and workshops!

I am gonna brag on the workshop because not everyone has seen their portraits so that means, I can't show YOU yet...and some are boudoir so you may never get to see them. LOL! (hey, fair is fair)... so this past weekend, we did a kallitype workshop.

I gotta hand it to at least a third of my class who didn't even really know what it WAS and came anyhow! We ended up doing this silver process...also did cyanotype and wet cyanotype, discussed toning of each process...and made art all day while we chatted and laughed.

I mean, FOR REAL. What could be better than THAT!?!? My studio even still smells like fixer. If you're a photographer that's done film, you know what I mean. There might not be a better smell anywhere.

So it's been a great month....it's been artsy and fun and inspirational. I was at Texas School of Photography for a week at the end of April and got to study under then incredible artist, Thom Rouse, for a week. AHHHHH.... talk about jump starting your creative process! This artist from Chicago was JUST what I needed and I haven't come down from the creative and artistic high yet!

So what's coming up? Well, let me tell you! We are getting all the Santa stuff ready because registrations for that will start this summer! We are also looking for a space in a more central location to aid in the people that want to come to us! Nothing pinned down yet, so you'll have to trust me and keep checking in for that information!

Also, there are 15 new tween sized ball gowns that have arrived for our tween personality shoots. If you have a tween or teen that would like a dressy shoot with their favorite hobby incorporated, we will be starting those SOON! If you have a teen with their prom dress and you want a funky personality portrait with it, again....This next week we will be starting those!

I'm actually really excited. This summer is GONNA ROCK!!!!!!!
