Isn't it interesting.
How things happen to land in your lap at the exact moment you need to hear them?
At Imaging USA, I heard the incredible speaker and author, Shola Richards. His energy and message really touched me and had me racing to purchase his book, "Civil Unity". I got it and devoured the entire book. It's a book that speaks to kindness. Getting along in a world like we have today. I feel like that book is a must read. I'm all for reading literature and historical things, but this is about KINDNESS....we need that. Schools should add it to their high school reading requirements. The message is one for every one of us. (What I'm saying here, is don't miss out....go get it and read it today!)

Of course, as soon as I was wrapping up his amazing book, one of my best friends sent me the book "Let Them" by Mel Robbins.
Now, fun fact. I also heard Mel Robbins speak at Imaging USA (because whoever it is that books their keynote speakers gets the BEST speakers you could ever imagine).
But I digress.
I heard her speak and it sent me straight to "The 5 Second Rule" which lead me to read everything she's ever written, basically.
I'd heard the buzz around "Let Them", but simply hadn't gotten to it yet, so when I received it in the mail, I understood the assignment.

So I dove in.
ummmm.... holy cow. Every single chapter is speaking to me. Each one to a different PART of me and different aspect of my life, but, there's beauty in back to back books that inspire you to LIVE better. Not a back of your mind to-do list, or something you read that you think "that was great" and then you put it back down and forget it. But these two books in tandem actually inspire you to LIVE better...and BE better...and get started on doing it NOW.
I'm saying, guys.... read these.
Because I didn't expect them both to hit so beautifully, and I'm convinced many of you will feel the same. So read them, and let me know if you agree!
I feel like I'll have so much more to say on these great reads, but for now, you guys get with me on this and then we discuss the things, okay?
Maybe we need a Flyhippie book club. Just so I can talk books with friends.
It's a thought, huh!
Anyhow, as much as life is throwing my way right now. From a sick husband to a studio move, to so many other things. How amazing to have my mornings give me a little slice of unity and perspective. The timing is impeccable.
