It's not always funky art. There's part of me that wishes that it was. Sometimes I think I could sink into the darkroom and into chemicals and fade away forever. BUT... then it's time to do studio work....
And the funny thing is? I sink into that just as much! haha! I've spent the last few days sucked into creating weird art....and today? Well, I spent creating a set for our first 2019 ON SET SHOOT series that we're doing.
WHAT IS THAT, ROBIN?
Ohhhhhhh.....lemme explain! you know how everyone and their dog offers mini sessions? Well, we don't, normally. Actually, rarely. What we have here are ON SET SHOOTS. It's the basic idea that a mini session has, only I'm not good with "here's your minute and a half, hope we got somethin'..."
I think everyone deserves as long as it takes. (Yes, there's times we're done in less than 30 minutes, there's times we're here for an hour and a half) it depends on the kiddo. or person. or family. or whomever. I don't care. You get a REAL shoot. We laugh and spend time and if you want to change clothes? Well CHANGE THEM! I'm all good. I'm not rushing you a bit.
The thing with them is not the time, it's the set. We have a SET, and it's, well, SET. HERE IS YOUR SET. So we have a spring set coming up. Bring your kids! Change their clothes! Bring some props! We are gonna have FUN! (Until we're done, or they're done or you're done...) but it's all done within that one theme, or set. I'm not changing backdrops for different looks like in a normal shoot. Nope, this is how we're doing it.
It's a mini session. It's everything you think of a mini session.
Only.... IT AIN'T MINI.
So today, I came out of the darkroom to prep the spring set for the On Set Shoot that will be coming soon.... OMG.... it's so darned cute! You guys are going TO LOVE THIS! We have a little flower park set up....where we can have a little tea party, play a game, sit and pose, you name it. The options are ENDLESS and I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO SEE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll give you a little sneak peak of it here....since you were kind enough to read the blog anyhow...(thank you for that, by the way)
And now, I'm going to go home and spend a quiet Sunday night at home drinking a Moscow Mule and smiling....
Because tomorrow? I'll be playing in my flower garden with three amazing kids...
And life doesn't get much better than that, does it?
