"What is your absolute favorite thing to photograph?" he asked.
"Mine? The top ONE?" I gasped back as if I was answering an impossible question.
For me, it kind of IS. My husband laughs that my favorite subject to have in the studio is whomever the last person happened to BE.
If a two year old was in my studio today? Well my answer will be "two year olds!"
If it's a couple, my answer will be couples.
If it's a musician, if it's a branding session, if it's boudoir, if it's a tween, if it's a generational portrait,
you guessed it. It's my favorite.
This week, I had a six month old baby in the studio (my favorite) and today I have a musician coming in. (my favorite)
On Monday, I am actually photographing A WEDDING (odd for me but it's a couple I love and I've known the bride since we were 16 years old)....and on Monday?
Two senior in high school sessions, but on location in East Texas amongst longhorn cattle.
UMMMM.... what is my favorite? Because they all sound like my favorite! I love every bit of every notion of these sessions.
This year, I agonized over having Santa in the studio, because... he's my favorite.
I decided not to have him this year. I still struggle with that decision, but as I schedule in families and kids for the Winter Wonderland sessions... I know...
Those? Will be my favorites. I love sessions in the studio snow. I didn't do those last year. I love the fun and whimsy of the snow! I also love gorgeous families and children whose portraits live on the walls of their homes all year long. I love generations coming into the studio. It's all my, well, you know...
So as I still ponder the answer to my absolute FAVORITE... I am sitting here in my back yard, watching the sun rise, drinking my coffee and realizing...
I'm the luckiest girl ever to have so many favorites and so many things I love so much.
Also, make sure you get in my studio for one of the upcoming sessions! We have Halloween costume sessions, Magical Holiday sessions, and Winter Wonderland sessions all being filled up right now! I'm including links to each so you can learn more! Because, you know you'll be my favorite... *big cheesy smile*
And I'm including a recent musician portrait because, rock stars and country stars are my favorite. huzzah
