I do get asked a lot "where I do my sessions."
This always baffles me because I introduce myself by saying I own a portrait studio. The answers back tend to be:
"oh! you do weddings?"
"so.....where do you do photo sessions?"
To me, this are so obvious it's painful. Not so much to everyone else. So I end up saying "No. I don't do weddings. I am a portrait photographer. I own a portrait studio. The sessions happen in the studio...." You get the idea.
Then.
This week happened.
Monday.
I did a wedding. A Monday wedding. Yep. A gorgeous, fun, special, incredible wedding for a friend I've known since high school! But yeah, I did a WEDDING.... and I loved it. Don't tell anyone.
Then came Tuesday.
A day of rest after being on my feet for twelve hours the day before? Awwww hell no.
Tuesday I drove to east Texas to do not one, but TWO portrait sessions on a ranch! A gorgeous ranch full of horses and cows and longhorns and an INCREDIBLE east Texas sunset and two of the cutest seniors in high school that you ever did see.
And again. I loved it. I loved photographing a new scene, setting up a makeshift studio in a BEDROOM. (yep!) We had indoor and outdoor....some by the pool and some in the room. (you'll never know it wasn't completely in studio). And it was SO MUCH FUN! Plus, peep the photo of the location outside...um...YES PLEASE!
I know I'm starting all the fun sessions for holidays and Halloween....
but....
BUT....
Autumn is upon us. When you see those gorgeous trees. Call me. Let's go do a session in the wild, and celebrate fall....
Coz I'm in my "let's do it" era!
And if you don't want a session in the wild? Well, let's go back to the studio. Either way. Let's make magic!
